Intro
I was tasked with creating a logo for the Cuyamaca College's Work Experience Program. In this program students enrolled in the course are able to gain work experience in and around the campus by designing work for facultly, events, and other demand from campus.
Workflow
As I created and experimented with more variations of the logo, I moved less from a font based logo over to a shaped based logo. This was due to the limitations of using a font based logo as well as the vision of the final logo straying away from using font. I had finally decided on creating a logo that closely aligned with the program’s goal of creating a gateway for students to begin their journey as designers.
Result
In the process of creating the logo, I went through many iterations before the final design was chosen for the logo. This included communicating with client in real time on the direction which in turn, was to create a logo with incorporating the pillars of success and education. Within a few weeks, the logo had went from start to finish with a successful and happy client.
