Quick summary.
During my down time, I create scale replicas or more known as model kits. I've been with this hobby of mine since 2017, and at the beginning of 2022 I decided to shift my model kit building experiences onto YouTube. Although my videos are limited in quantity, I spend countless hours editing down the weeks worth of the model kit building process into intermediate length content that is digestible for all to watch.
Here's My Process.
The Production Process: With every video I create, I first initiate the building process and recording the kit as its being built. Once I finish the model kit I begin my editing process.
Once all the footage and pictures are correctly labeled and organized I move onto the post production process.
The Post Production Process: Once all the footage and other media are organized, I move to cutting down on the amount of footage there is. In this video specifically I went for a more organized approach by condensing the footage over to each individual sequence that plays out as an act. Once I finish with condensing all the footage taken I then began to add special stuff such as background music, voiceovers, and motion graphics.
After editing the entire video I move onto creating the thumbnail for the video.
Creating the Thumbnail: In the realm of content creation, thumbnails have a large impact on attracting new or returning viewers. So making a thumbnail that sticks out with a just as impactful title, is crucial to having an successful video especially on YouTube's platform. To create this video's title, I created multiple prototypes, and after I found the most suitable idea I revised a bit of the elements of the thumbnail and brought out the title more in a hierarchical sense.
